Cancellation Policy

Liability Pack Walks are a shared, structured experience. You remain responsible for your dog’s behaviour during the walk. You confirm your dog is healthy, vaccinated per your vet’s guidance, and safe to participate in Ottawa–Gatineau outdoor conditions. BetterDog is not liable for injuries, dog-to-dog conflict, or property damage. Required Gear A 6-foot non-retractable leash is required. Your dog must arrive with a secure collar or harness that cannot slip off. Bring poop bags and any weather-appropriate gear. Retractable leashes are not permitted. Weather Policy We walk unless weather conditions create a safety risk (thunder, lightning, extreme heat or cold, unsafe ice, or travel advisories). If BetterDog cancels due to weather, your credit is automatically moved to another week. If you choose to skip due to weather concerns, your credit is also moved forward. There are no extra charges for any weather-related changes. Booking and Cancellations Please book or cancel at least 48 hours in advance so we can balance group dynamics. If you cancel inside 48 hours, you keep your credit for another week. BetterDog does not charge any additional or late-cancellation fees. Ever. Purpose of the Walk Pack Walks focus on calm structure, safe spacing, and emotional regulation. Dogs practice loose-leash walking, respectful proximity, and BetterDog’s Emotional Marking system in a predictable group setting.
