Dogs teach dogs. That’s pack peer pressure.
Your dog watches other dogs. We use that.
A bike comes towards the pack. Your dog gets ready to bark. But the ten dogs ahead just keep walking. The big dog at the front isn’t worried. Your dog looks again: “They didn’t do anything. Maybe I shouldn’t do it.”
That’s pack peer pressure. The experienced dogs show your dog what normal looks like. Your dog chooses to stay calm, and you say, “Good boy.” Now the pack is showing the way, and you’re reinforcing the choice.
We walk together without nose-to-nose greetings. We don’t need every dog to become best friends. We want you to go somewhere in public and have your dog take it in stride. Each week, the pack gives you both a place to practise.

How to get in
Pack Walks are for BetterDog members — especially people who used to turn around at the sight of another leash. This isn’t drop-in. It starts with the in-home session.
$60/walk per walk, or included with the Unlimited Training Pass.

These are our pack members who have completed their Life Changer Session and bring their owners weekly to walk with the pack. We redefine what walking is and use the pack to teach dogs with pack peer pressure.

Pack Walks are for BetterDog members. Register for each walk in your member app, and check that walk’s time, location and available places.
Member registration helpWhat to bring
A collar, a six-foot flat leash and poop bags. If you use a harness, make sure it fits securely. Muzzles are welcome — they help some families participate with confidence.
We rotate parks
Centrepointe in Nepean, Riverain in Vanier, Gamelin in Gatineau and Sawmill Creek in Gloucester. The confirmed meeting point is listed with each walk’s registration.
