Every BetterDog Pack Walk starts the same way: with respect for each dog's comfort zone.
🐶 We ease into it. We meet, we stand, and we let the dogs feel out the space. No forced interactions, no unnecessary pressure. We say hello to other dog parents and ask, “Is your dog social, or are they working on it?” – because both are welcome.
🐕 The first steps matter. Jon and Nancy start the pack moving in a slow circle, tuning into the dogs’ energy. Some puppies will bark and squeal. Some nervous dogs will twitch and hesitate. But then—you start seeing it.
👅 The tongues come out.🐾 The tails and ears relax.🚶♂️ The tension fades into movement.
From here, we walk in single file at first, giving structure before we shift positions. Jon and Nancy will move you around, challenge your dog in just the right way, and guide you through controlled interactions—placing your pup near dogs they find uncomfortable, but always with intention and support.
Mistakes? No big deal.
💡 Muzzles are worn if needed—no shame, no judgment.
💡 If you or your dog need a breather, step out. Let your guide know what you need.
💡 It’s a learning space for everyone.
This isn’t just a walk. It’s an experience. Puppies, reactive dogs, muzzled dogs, timid dogs, nervous owners, humble owners. It’s a sight to see, and even more incredible to be a part of.
