Mimi, Jon and Nancy’s dog.
A fresh start needs more than good intentions.
A new dog is learning your house, your people and your routines all at once. The behaviour you see today may change as they settle in.
We work with the dog in front of us. Jon or Nancy helps you understand their signals and make everyday life clearer, without guessing at a story we don’t know.
Settle in. Understand each other. Build life together.
A practical path for your new household.
Make home easier to understand.
Start with predictable routines and a clear place to rest.
- Space to settle
- Look at resting places, shared rooms and how your dog moves through the house.
- A daily rhythm
- Give meals, walks, rest and attention a routine your household can follow.
- Everyone at home
- Build the same expectations with every person and every dog in your household.
Read the dog you have today.
Learn the signals behind reactions, worry and uncertainty.
- Body language
- Notice what your dog is telling you before a behaviour gets bigger.
- Clear communication
- Practise how to ask, guide and follow through calmly.
- The tricky moments
- Work on visitors, handling, time apart or other concerns you bring to the session.
Bring confidence into everyday life.
Practise in the places your dog will live and walk with you.
- Neighbourhood walks
- Work on the route and encounters your household needs help with.
- Home alone
- Build manageable steps toward resting when you’re elsewhere.
- Keep the progress going
- Use your guide and choose follow-ups or Pack Walks after the first session.

Meet MimiIn their own words
New dogs. More confident households.
Hard to get someone to come out to my rural area, but Jon and Nancy were so accommodating. Nancy worked wonders with just one intro session with my rescue pup. She explained so much about my dog’s behaviour and body language. My confidence has gone up and anxiety level down already.
Jon has gone above and beyond to help us with our past dog and our current cane corso. Both were rescues and very fear reactive to people and dogs on walks and when friends and family visit. Now we have made incredible progress and were able to successfully introduce the dogs to our new baby when we brought him home. Walks are much smoother and we can have family and friends over without worry.
Your questions, before we start
- Do we need to know our dog’s history?
- Share what you know. We start with your dog’s current behaviour, your home and the routines you want to build.
- Can you work with all our dogs?
- Yes. The Life Changer Session covers the whole household and every dog for one fee.
